UPCOMING CONFERENCES CHN 2007 Family Expo will held be August 10th, 11th AND 12th at the Marriott in Ontario, California. HSC 2007 conference at the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento will be held August 16th through 19th. CHEA 2007 convention will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center on July 12th through 14th.

Members of this group can chat, plan, or lurk. Anyone is welcome to post ideas and activities for events that will interest children in this age range.

Well summer is almost upon us and boy am I looking forward to some quiet
uneventful days. As our children grow up daily life becomes so much
more complicated. I remember when the only thing I had to do was get to
park day, now I have to get two children to and from college, one to
baseball, one to hockey, one to volleyball, and one to dance. Of course
they all have to be picked up or dropped off at the exact same time! We
plan on spending our summer quietly sitting at the beach. OK, maybe not
so quiet but for sure at the beach. Which brings me to summer beach
days! Beach days will be Fridays in Hermosa Beach at 2nd Street from 10
am till interest wanes. Like park days talk it up on the loop to make
sure others will be there. Parking is quite easy to find on Second or
Hermosa and there is an additional lot one block south at the end of the
